Kroos, Modric, Varane and Bale already train at Madrid

Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Raphael Varane and Gareth Bale ended their vacations and returned to training at Real Madrid, which continues its preseason with double sessions to fine-tune their set-up for the start of the course.

Kroos, Modric, Varane and Bale played the European Championship with Germany, Croatia, France and Wales, respectively. All were eliminated in the round of 16 and after a few days of vacation and with the club’s permission, they returned to work to be under Carlo Ancelotti’s orders.

They all agreed with the Italian coach in his first stage. Except for Toni Kroos, who was only in Ancelotti’s second season (2014/15), the rest played under him in both, so they are old acquaintances.

Of the four new faces who returned to Valdebebas, two have their future assured at Real Madrid this season (Modric and Kroos). By contrast, it is not ruled out that Bale and Varane leave the entity chaired by Florentino Pérez. The French central could leave a good figure close to 60 million euros in cash and Bale seems that he wants to fulfill his last year of contract.

Who had to return today too and could not, was Karim Benzema, who tested positive for coronavirus and will not yet be able to join his team’s preseason. The rest, worked normally with the rest of his teammates and Ancelotti is recovering members of his staff.
