Kyle Lowry reached 10,000 points with the Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors could not beat the Milwaukee Bucks in the game they both played last night. However, despite being an irrelevant regular-season loss, Kyle Lowry will fondly remember this meeting. The former point guard for the Houston Rockets faced the duel with 9,998 points scored with the Raptors jersey. That is, only two points separated him to achieve the legendary and round figure of 10,000 points. As expected, the point guard achieved that milestone without problems, which further enlarges his time in the Canadian franchise.

After scoring 21 points and fighting to the end against one of the best teams in the East, Kyle Lowry was proud of what he accomplished. Eight and a half seasons has played Philadelphia with Toronto, the team of his life. Although he was not drafted, the team he really grew up with as an NBA player was the Raptors. Hence his words in achieving that historic scoring figure: “It means a lot to be able to do this with just one franchise. There are many points for a franchise ”.

There is no question that Kyle Lowry is one of the most important players in the history of a relatively young franchise. With little more than 25 years in the NBA, the Raptors have the point guard in much of their historical rankings and their only ring is not understood without him. At just 1.83 meters tall, he leads the franchise in steals (842), assists (4,035), triples taken (3,816) and triples scored (1,431). While it is second in minutes (19,753), matches (570) and points (10,021). Figures that few players reach in their respective franchises and that will keep it in the memory of all fans of this.

In addition, the best memories of the Raptors come with Lowry at the helm of the team. Six of the seven Division titles they hold are with him as the starter, and as previously mentioned, the only Eastern Conference championship and title as well. Those of Toronto have classified twelve times to the playoffs, seven of them with which it formed like player in the University of Villanova. And of the nine postseason rounds they have won, eight have also been with him as the team flag. With DeMar DeRozan out of the ring squad and Kawhi Leonard’s short stint through the franchise… Is Lowry the best player in Raptors history? (GG) (NBA Maniacs)
