Kylian Mbappé causes sick leave for PSG-Lille

Paris SG star forward Kylian Mbappé, who suffers from a throat and nasal cavities, will be withdrawn for the twelfth round of Ligue 1 against Lille on Friday, his club announced on Thursday.

His return to training is scheduled for “early next week”, ahead of the Champions League game against Leipzig in Germany on Wednesday.

PSG’s top scorer in Ligue 1 this season (5 goals) is joined in the infirmary by midfielders Marco Verratti (hip) and Leandro Paredes (quadriceps), as well as central Sergio Ramos (twin).

Winger Achraf Hakimi, suspended, completes the list of casualties for the game against Lille.

Mabappé started 14 of the 15 official competition matches played by the Parisians this season. Their only absence was in the French Super Cup (Champions Trophy), on August 1, lost against Lille (1-0) in Tel-Aviv.(AFP)
