A military group entered the presidential palace and arrested the president, Alpha Condé, according to Colonel Mamady Doumbouya, who later explained that they had “decided to dissolve the government.” Shots were heard throughout Sunday in the capital, Conraki.
Fortunately, the Moroccan National Team managed to leave the country with a special permit, since the borders were closed for security. Footballers of the stature of Sofyan Amrabat, Youssef En-Nesyri, Munir El Hadadi, Achraf Hakimi and Munir El Kajoui are part of that squad.
However, the Guinea team continues within the country’s borders. Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is among that team’s players, as are five other Ligue 1 players: Issiaga Sylla, Florentin Pogba, Abdoulaye Sylla, Saidou Sow and Mohamed Bayo.
From Anfield Road they are constantly communicating with Keita and they have already reported that he is in good condition. They are working with the authorities and the different clubs that own the players’ passes to get them out of Guinea. (Bolavip)
