The Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko beat Briton Luke Campbell to the points on Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, thus conquering the title of the lightweight category of the World Boxing Council (WBC).
Lomachenko (31 years old) was already the holder of the belts of the same category of the World Association (WBA) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO).
His victory on points was unanimous (119-108, 119-108, 118-108), at the end of the twelfth round.
Luke Campbell put up more resistance than expected to the favorite Lomachenko, who in any case met the forecasts.
The Ukrainian fighter now only has the belt of the International Federation (IBF) to reunify all the titles of light weights. Ghanaian Richard Commey is the man who holds that IBF title. AFP
