The Los Angeles Lakers agreed to trade Marc Gasol, a 2024 second-round pick and cash to the Memphis Grizzlies for the draft rights to Wang Zhelin, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.
The Lakers save $ 10 million on the deal.
Gasol and the Grizzlies will work together on a waiver and release that will allow him to remain in Spain with his family, sources told ESPN.
The Lakers signed two former All-Star centers this offseason: Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan.
Gasol has a $ 2.7 million one-year contract that is multiplied by the Lakers’ luxury tax.
Gasol, 36, is a three-time All-Star, won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award and was an NBA champion with the Toronto Raptors. (ESPNDEPORTES)
