Mercedes will not tolerate new incident between Rosberg and Hamilton

The Mercedes team will not tolerate a new incident between drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg after, at the last Belgian Grand Prix, the Briton suffered a puncture on his left rear wheel due to the impact of the front wing of his teammate and current leader of the World Cup.
“Lewis and Nico understand and accept team rule number one: there must be no contact between the two cars in the race. It has become clear to both that a new incident will not be tolerated, “says the statement provided by Mercedes after the meeting held this morning by the team’s two top managers, Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe, and the drivers.
During this meeting, held at the Mercedes headquarters in Brackley, Nico Rosberg acknowledged his responsibility for the crash and apologized for his mistake. This regret, however, will not relieve you of the disciplinary measures taken by the team.
“Mercedes-Benz maintains its commitment to competition, fairly, among drivers because that is the right way to win championships. That is good for the team, for the fans and for Formula One. They will continue to have the freedom to fight for the World Championship, “the statement concluded.
