Mexicanbo Berchelt knocks out British Jupp in Merida

The Mexican Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt knocked out British George Jupp in six rounds and was credited as interim world champion of super featherweight of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in Mérida, Yucatán, southeast of the country.
The fight came to an end after a combination of Berchelt with the left hand, up and down, which put Jupp in bad shape for the third time, whose corner called for the stoppage of the fight.
With the triumph, Berchelt left his record of 29 victories, 26 before the limit, and one defeat and confirmed himself as the next opponent of the absolute champion, the Puerto Rican Román “Rocky” Martínez.
Jupp was left with a record of 13 wins, four on the fast track, and three losses. EFE
