A goal from Jesús Corona was enough for Mexico to equalize 1-1 at home with Panama and continue in the lead in the Concacaf qualifying rounds for the World Cup in Qatar.
The home team took the lead in the 28th minute when Rolando Blackburn reached a timely rebound inside the area and shot low into the center of the goal to beat Guillermo Ochoa.
But Corona tied for Mexico in the 76th minute and rescued a point that ratifies El Tri in first place in the standings with seven points.
The Panamanian national team, meanwhile, remains undefeated and is in third place with five integers.
On the fourth day, on October 7, Panama will visit El Salvador and Mexico will receive Canada. EFE (HN)
