Mike Tyson insults journalist for remembering his criminal past

Former American boxer Mike Tyson faced a journalist on a live Canadian television program today, when he recalled that he had been convicted and imprisoned for rape.
Tyson, who is in Toronto to promote the show he stars in, “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth”, visited the controversial mayor of the city, Rob Ford, on Tuesday, whom he praised in front of the cameras and described as “the best mayor Toronto.
Ford, who has become an international character after starring in scandals related to drug and alcohol consumption, as well as his relationships with drug trafficking groups in Toronto, is in the middle of an electoral campaign for his re-election to the head of the Mayor’s Office.
This Wednesday, during a live interview on Toronto’s CP24 television network, Tyson was asked if he believed Ford would be harmed by his endorsement given his criminal past as a rapist.
After a few seconds, Tyson snapped at the reporter: “It’s interesting that you seem so nice but you really are shit.”
Tyson continued to address himself in the same terms each time he asked a question for which the journalist decided to end the interview.
Tyson was convicted in 1992 of raping an 18-year-old girl in a hotel in Indianapolis (USA), a crime for which he was imprisoned for three years. The former boxer was convicted again in 1999 and 2007 for assault and possession of cocaine, respectively.
