Mitch Moreland arrives at the Oakland Athletics

Mitch Moreland’s bat will have a chance to continue batting in the American League, as the player reached a one-season deal with the Oakland Athletics.

The arrival of Moreland allows the team to have a reliable designated hitter, and it appears he will take the place left by Khris Davis, who left the team after a trade with the Texas Rangers in which Elvis Andrus made his way to the Californian squad.

Moreland has 11 seasons of experience, in which he has served as first baseman in 984 games, while he has been a designated hitter in 69 games.

Mitch has played for the Texas Rangers and the Boston Red Sox, knowing well the type of baseball the Athletics play, hitting .271 with 22 homers, 59 RBIs and an .859 OPS. The 22 hits are his most against any club. (GG) (
