Mookie Betts and Dodgers close to signing $ 350 million extension?

As fans prepare to see the long-awaited debut of some stars in their new teams, it is reported that a million dollar negotiation is being made between outfielder Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers, who could be on the verge of agreeing a long-term extension. Reporters such as Mark Feinsand of MLB.com and Lou Merloni of WEEI.com, were the first to report that the negotiations between the two parties had advanced and that there are already defined numbers.

The extension would be at least 10 years and 350 million dollars, Feinsand reported, data that so far, no official source has confirmed. The 27-year-old Betts is under contract with the Dodgers for this season only, after which he can become a free agent. In February, the Dodgers acquired Betts, the AL MVP of 2018, from the Red Sox along with left-hander David Price in exchange for Mexican ranger Alex Verdugo and prospects Jeter Downs and Connor Wong.
