The British Andy Murray, second seeded, conquered the Madrid tournament this Sunday by defeating the Spanish Rafael Nadal, champion in the last two editions, 6-3 and 6-2 in one hour and 28 minutes.
The Scotsman prevailed over the nine-time Roland Garros champion, unable to defend his crown in a match dominated from the start by Murray, who thus closed his best two weeks on clay.
To the title achieved last Monday in Munich -the first on clay- he added this Sunday his first Masters 1,000 on this surface. EFE
