Nadal reports ready for the Master 1000 in Paris

The world number 1, Rafael Nadal, said he was “ready” for the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 (October 30-November 5), where the uncertainty about the presence of Roger Federer (No. 2) continues, who has not yet confirmed his participation, despite the fact that the draw took place this Friday.

Nadal, off this week in Basel to preserve the condition of his right knee, confirmed his presence in the French capital by publishing a photo of him on Instagram, in training, with the mention “Ready for Paris!” (Prepared for Paris).

Tournament director Guy Forget said he was relieved by that message.

“I’m not hiding from you that we are a little anxious to know who is going to participate,” he told the press at the end of the draw, with many stars already declared low for the final stretch of the season (Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka …) .

“This year, with the prospect of finishing the year at world number 1, Rafael Nadal is going to do everything possible to win this title (which he has never won),” added Forget, who is confident that Federer will also participate.
