American Austin Dillon said he has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not compete in the Daytona, Florida, NASCAR Racing Series race.
Dillon will be replaced on the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) team by Kaz Grala in Sunday’s test at the 3.61-mile oval at Daytona.
The 30-year-old will be able to return to NASCAR when two tests negative for COVID-19 with at least 24 hours difference between each.
The RCR team “activated the health protocols established to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection,” the team said in a statement.
“We will continue to implement these directives to protect the health of our employees and their families, and our business partners,” added RCR. AFP (HN)
