Nelson Cruz traded to Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Rays acquired Nelson Cruz from the Minnesota MLB Twins.

According to Jeff, the Rays sent pitchers Joe Ryan and Drew Stoman to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for Nelson Cruz and left-hander Calvin Flaucher.

Multiple teams like the Toronto Blue Jays and the Oakland Athletics were interested in his services, even this one said that he was willing to play in the outfield if he was traded to a national league team, that dilemma is over.

Nelson Cruz is coming off another All-Star game appearance while hitting 294. with 18 homers and 50 RBIs in MLB 2021.

The Tampa Rays needed a depth in their lineup as well as a veteran in their dugout that will guide all that young talent that they have and they have also added power and a couple of home runs to assure you for the rest of the season in the MLB.

Cruz is heading to his fourth team in the American league as he has played for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Minnesota Twins and now with the Tampa Rays.
