Opening Ceremony: Tokyo 2020 Kicks Off Paralympic Games

It has been just over 2 weeks since the Olympic Games ended and the Paralympic Games have officially started. Now it is the turn of athletes with disabilities to show their skills at Tokyo 2020, kicking off the competition with a spectacular opening ceremony.
The Paralympic Games begin in the city of Tokyo with 162 delegations and more than 4 thousand athletes in 22 sports disciplines. It will be the sixteenth edition of the great sporting event, which will take place between this Tuesday, August 24 and next Sunday, September 5 in Japanese lands.

Tokyo 2020 opened the Paralympic Games with an emotional ceremony at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium, just as it happened weeks ago with the Olympic Games.
“We all have wings” has been the slogan with which the curtain of the sporting event has been opened, as a motivation for the fight against adversity.
The Olympic flame has re-burned in Tokyo in an event that aims to change the perception of disability and fight discrimination in the world.
The organizers of the Paralympics have reaffirmed their commitment to promote social change with the sports festival in the Japanese capital.
“We hope they are an opportunity to build a free society, without discrimination or barriers of any kind.
Athletes and sports have the power to change the world. The time for social change has come.
The Paralympics testify to our potential and power to go beyond our limits. They are an inspiration for a social change ”were the words of Seiko Hashimoto, president of the Tokyo 2020 organizing committee. (Bolavip)
