Pacquiao lets his fans choose their next opponent

The welterweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Manny Pacquiao, asked his twitter followers on Monday to choose the name of his next opponent in a fight that will finally take place in the United Arab Emirates.
“Appointment in the United Arab Emirates for my next fight,” wrote the boxing star on the social social network, thus eliminating the option that it would be held in April in Brisbane against Australian Jeff Horn, according to the press.
In another message, the Filipino addressed his 108,000 followers asking them about the future opponent that would appear between Horn himself, the American Terence Crawford and the British Amir Khan and Kell Brook, although he did not specify the date on which the event would be organized.
The Australian state of Queensland had announced at the end of January the negotiation on the organization of a fight in its capital, Brisbane, between Horn and the 38-year-old boxer.
“We are making every effort to organize this important fight,” said Queensland Tourism Minister Kate Jones.
Elected senator last year, Pacquiao returned to the ring on November 5, seven months after his retirement.
In that fight, the Filipino regained the WBO welterweight champion title against Mexican-American Jesse Vargas.
Pacquiao has 59 victories in 67 fights in his long career, while Horn, 10 years younger, has won 16 of the 17 in which he has participated.
