Panama beat Jamaica 3-0 as a visitor on the second date of the octagonal of Concacaf qualifying for the Qatar-2022 World Cup, in a duel where the Canaleros annulled a rival reinforced with Premier League players.
The goals of the match, played without an audience at Independence Park in Kingston, were scored by Andrés Andrade (14), Rolando Blackburn (39) and Cecilio Waterman (81).
The Panamanians successfully won an appointment that they completely dominated, with good touch football, high pressure, mobility of their attackers and a great physical display.
In contrast, the Reggae Boyz never felt comfortable on the pitch, where they could not display their speed or direct football, and only created danger in the final minutes.
With this result, and after two games played, Panama leads the octagonal with four points, followed by Mexico with three, although with one game less.
While waiting for the rest of the day, the United States, Canada, El Salvador, Hoduras and Costa Rica have a point, while Jamaica closes the tap without units.
Next Wednesday Panama will host Mexico on the third date of the octagonal, while Jamaica will visit Costa Rica. AFP (HN)
