Puerto Rican Carlos Arrieta returns to the ring
Puerto Rican fighter Carlos Arrieta will end his ten-month inactivity on Saturday, June 17, in combat against a rival yet to be determined.
The fight of Arrieta, a featherweight boxer (122 pounds), will be held at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas, a municipality in the interior of the Caribbean island.
The organization of the event reported this Monday that Arrieta’s fight is included in the undercard “Night of DIRECTV Champions” that Miguel Cotto Promotions will present.
“Thank God we resumed our career and we will be fighting on June 17 in Caguas,” the fighter trained and directed by his father, Carlos Arrieta, said in a statement.
“We are very grateful for the opportunity that Miguel Cotto Promotions and H2 Entertainment have given us to fight on such an important card as this one. We have been preparing with intensity to put on a great show. I am sure that on June 17 the fans will witness one of the best cards of the year, “said Arrieta.
The 23-year-old boxer, who made his professional debut on December 19, 2015, will crash four innings at a maximum weight of 124 pounds.
The card will present in the stellar turn the fight between José ‘Wonder Boy’ López and Orlando ‘Fenómeno’ Cruz for the International Junior Lightweight Championship of the World Organization of Boxing (OMB). EFE
