Puerto Rican Emmanuel Rodríguez will face Argentine Omar Narváez

Puerto Rican Emmanuel “Manny” Rodríguez (15-0, 10 KO), promoted to second place in the World Boxing Council (WBC) classification in the 118-pound (53.5-kilo) division, will face Argentine Omar Narváez on the 25th in Fajardo, a municipality in the east of the island.
The promoters of the evening reported today through a statement that the fight will serve to determine who will face the current world champion of that category of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the British Lee Haskins (34-3, 14 KO ).
“I am about to fight for the IBF world title and now, thank God, the WBC has me close to its title as well. Who knows if a unification fight in the future with Shinsuke Yamanaka could take place, but my mind at the moment is on my opponent Omar Narváez “, said Emmanuel Rodríguez.
Rodríguez has notable victories over world-class fighters such as Alberto ‘Metro’ Guevara of Mexico, American Miguel Cartagena, David Quijano of Puerto Rico, Luis Hinojosa and Eliecer Aquino of the Dominican Republic.
Another of the fights on March 25 includes the fight between the Puerto Rican Alfredo Santiago and the Mexican Arturo Santos.
