Christian Pulisic returned to training with Chelsea for the weekend’s game against Newcastle, which is untouched for victory, the London club announced on Thursday.
The 23-year-old American forward had not seen action since August 14, when he scored in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in their first English Premier League game of the season.
Pulisic injured an ankle during an engagement with the US national team in early September, his sixth major injury in just over two seasons with Chelsea.
The club published a brief update on its reactivated players – Pulisic, France’s N’Golo Kante, Andreas Christensen of Denmark and César Azpilicueta of Spain – with photos of them in training.
