Raikkonen: “I don’t know exactly what happened before the accident”

Finn Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari), who caused the accident that cost him and Spaniard Fernando Alonso (McLaren) in the first lap of the Austrian Formula One Grand Prix, held this Sunday at Spielberg, said he does not know “Exactly what happened before” the crash.

“I don’t know exactly what happened before the accident, my wheels skidded in an unusual place. I was going at a fairly high speed when, suddenly, I went to the left and ended up there, “explained Raikkonen, in demonstrations broadcast by his own team.

“I did not realize what was going to happen, everything happened very quickly,” explained Kimi, 35, world champion in 2007 -on his first tour in Ferrari- and winner of twenty F1 Grands Prix.
