Rays blank Astros in three hands

The Tampa Bay Rays whitewashed the Houston Astros 5×0 in three hands this Sunday in the Major Leagues, with starter Matt Moore and relievers Enny Romero and Tyler Sturdevant.
The defeated pitcher was star Dallas Keuchel (3-9), reigning American League Cy Young player since last year, who was punished with five runs in five innings, for carrying the setback.
Keuchel became the first pitcher this season in both leagues to concede nine losses.
For his part, Moore (3-4) allowed only singles by José Altuve in the fourth and sixth innings, in addition to striking out 10 batters as the Rays won for the seventh time in the last nine outings.
Since the Astros moved to the American League in 2013, the Rays have led the matchup between the two clubs 17-7, including eight shutouts.
Slugger Logan Morrison led the Rays’ five-run offense in the fifth inning with an RBI double off Keuchel. (AFP).
