Red Bull boss supports Hamilton for not letting Rosberg overtake

The director of the Red Bull team, Christian Horner, believes that the British driver Lewis Hamilton did well to ignore the orders of the Mercedes team, who during the Hungarian GP, last Sunday, asked him to let his German teammate Nico pass Rosberg, leader of the Formula One World Championship.
For Horner, the fact that Mercedes applies a policy of freedom to its pilots in the face of the great superiority of the German team over the rest, justifies that Hamilton refused to let Rosberg pass. The Briton finished third, behind Australian Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) and Spaniard Fernando Alonso (Ferrari), and ahead of Rosberg.
“Inevitably, it is very difficult because you have on the one hand the objectives of the team and on the other the objectives of the drivers. The interesting thing about Mercedes this year is that it has such an advantage that it leaves its drivers free because their constructors’ title is not in danger, ”Horner explained in autosport.
You can understand Lewis. He is fighting with Nico (for the title) and, from his point of view, it is understandable that he said: not today, thank you, “said Horner, for whom it made no sense that Mercedes suddenly decided to give team orders,” because they have allowed them to compete openly this year.
