Reporter will sue boxer Pulev, who kissed her without her consent

The reporter Jennifer Ravalo has hired a lawyer and will take legal action against the Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev, who without her consent kissed her on the mouth during an interview he carried out in the ring after having concluded a fight.

Ravalo will be legally represented by women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, who has already asked the California State Athletic Commission to investigate Pulev and suspend her boxing license.

The events occurred last Saturday after Pulev knocked out the Romanian Bogdan Dinu for his seventh consecutive victory.

Ravalo, who works as a reporter under the name Jenny SuShe for Las Vegas Sports Daily, asked her if she thought her victory should give Englishman Tyson Fury a chance.

At that point, Pulev answered “yes,” then grabbed her head and kissed her on the mouth, according to the video footage.

Pulev posted on Twitter that he and Ravalo are friends, and that even after the incident they both laughed at what happened in the ring.

Ravalo said that “I did not know how to respond” to the attitude of the Bulgarian boxer.

He added that “I started the interview and, in the middle, he grabbed my face and kissed me. I was shocked, embarrassed and did not know how to respond. Then I walked over to a table to put my items in a backpack. He came in and squeezed my butt with both hands. Then he walked away without saying anything to me and started laughing, “said the reporter at a press conference.

He added that “I did not encourage or consent to Mr. Pulev kissing me or grabbing me from behind.”

The reporter denied being friends with Pulev, who also said that as proof of their friendship, at the end of the fight she attended a party in which he and his friends celebrated the victory.

Ravalo said in that sense that a friend of hers invited her to the party and that she attended to have the opportunity to continue her work and do more interviews.

‘Mr Pulev did not join until the end of the night. He acted as if nothing had happened, but at the end of the party he asked me to remove the kiss from the video, “Ravalo explained about his participation in the celebration party organized by the Bulgarian boxer.

“I didn’t delete it, I published it because I wanted people to see what it had done to me. I wanted him to be responsible. He didn’t want her to get away with it. What he did to me was disgusting, ”Ravalo commented. “I felt humiliated and no woman should be treated this way.”

The California Commission has issued a statement saying it is taking the incident seriously and that Pulev will have to appear at a hearing before he is licensed to fight in the state again.
