The Houston Rocketes beat defending champions Golden State Warriors in the NBA without their star player James Harden, while stars Russell Westbrook and LeBron James were not very lucky.
The Rockets obtained their third victory of the season against the champions Golden State with a score of 118-112.
In the absence of their best man and league leading scorer Harden, the Rockets relied on veteran point guard Chris Paul, who scored 23 points and dished out a whopping 17 assists.
Eric Gordon scored 25 and Swiss center Clint Capela finished with 15 rebounds.
Houston had a 20-point lead in the second set, but had to contain the Warriors’ return, led by the trio of Kevin Durant (29 points), Stephen Curry (25) and Klay Thompson (20).
The Rockets (34-25) have the fifth-best record in the Western Conference, which is still dominated by the champions Golden State (42-17). AFP
