Rosberg, world champion despite being second in Abu Dhabi

The German Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) was proclaimed this Sunday for the first time in his career Formula One world champion after finishing second, behind his teammate, the British Lewis Hamilton, in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, twenty-first and last test of the contest.

Rosberg arrived at the Yas Marina circuit with a twelve-point margin over Hamilton and came out of it with a five-point margin.

Hamilton, three times world champion, fulfilled and scored the victory, the fifty-third of his career and the tenth of the season that this Sunday lived its last chapter. The Englishman needed to win at Abu Dai and hope Rosberg didn’t finish on the podium. EFE
