The Italian Valentino Rossi (Yamaha YZR M 1), acknowledged that he is “very happy to be able to test the bike in Australia, because the temperatures will be high and this will give us a good opportunity to accumulate data on the new tires and electronics.”
“The practice in Malaysia went very well for Yamaha and although we need to continue testing I am very satisfied with how the bike is going,” explained the Italian champion in his team’s press release, in which he assured: “Yamaha has worked very well during winter and it’s great to be able to try another circuit like Phillip Island, where we tend to be very fast.
“We have to be very focused as our rivals have worked a lot and I am sure that in Australian training a lot can change,” acknowledged Rossi.
“I feel good and we have to continue the work started in Malaysia as soon as possible and test all the new equipment to get the bike ready for this season,” added the Italian rider. EFE
