The Honduran boxer, Josec “Escorpión” Ruiz, will have to wait longer to return to the ring, after injuring himself this Tuesday in training at the Hotel del Boxeo.
Ruiz, was doing a sparring with Carlos “Pupita” Guity, when he suffered a blow to his left arm that prevented him from continuing the fight.
The boxer was evaluated by the sports chiropractic specialist, Marquí Ojasmar, who notified that the blow suffered was not serious, but that he had to rest for three weeks to avoid injury.
Ruiz’s injury. forced his manager and president of the Boxing Federation, Godofredo Fajardo, to cancel the fight.
“We cannot risk Josec, because his rival is very strong and to fight him he has to come to the full fight, so we decided to cancel the evening at the Marriot hotel and move it to the pedestrian”.
Fajardo said that the “Scorpion” will fight again in April, but that his rival could vary, depending on the negotiations.

The head of the FEHBOX commented that the boxing evening will be on February 20 in the pedestrian area of Tegucigalpa, which he will confirm in the next few hours, when he receives permission from the Mayor’s Office.
