“Scorpion” Ruiz wins by knockout in Dominican Republic

Honduran boxer Josec “Escorpión” Ruiz demonstrated his power through blows and resistance and won the third defense of his Central American and Caribbean WBC title by knockout against the Dominican Miguel «Feroz» Taveras.

The “Scorpion” made him swallow the words of his rival who had said he would beat up the catracho by sending him to the canvas in the third round, with an accurate blow where the boxer could not get up.

The contest was held at the Teo Cruz Coliseum in the capital of the Caribbean country, and the Honduran left a good impression on the public present, by winning his fight with solvency.

The catracho boxer will defend his title for the fourth time this year against a Mexican rival that is yet to be defined, if he is victorious, he may have options to seek the Latin American title of 126 pounds (feather) from the WBC World Boxing Council.
