The American Serena Williams will return to the competition next February when she is part of the United States team that will face the Netherlands in the Federation Cup next February, as announced by the American Tennis Federation.
The little Williams, who was the mother of a girl on September 1, and had been away from the slopes since last year’s Australian Open, a tournament that she won two months pregnant, will team up with her sister Venus and Coco Vandeweghe.
The captain of the US Federation Cup team, Kathy Rinaldi, will reveal the name of the fourth member of the team that will face the Netherlands in Asheville, North Carolina, on February 10 and 11, next week.
This will be the first time the two sisters have been together on the US team in two years, having done so on the Federation Cup team eight times, the last in 2015.
