Stephen Curry makes history by reaching 2,500 3-pointers in NBA

Warriors point guard Stephen Curry became the third player in NBA history to hit 2,500 3-pointers, joining Ray Allen and Reggie Miller.

The Warriors player got the mark in a game against the Chicago Bulls, in a play in which he was marked by two rooks, Lauri Markkanen and Garrett Temple, and still managed to surprise with his shot.

Curry joins the list that includes Ray Allen, who retired in 2014 with the Miami Heat, and Reggie Miller, the first to achieve that record.

The mark had been unattainable since 2011, when Ray Allen tied it in February of that year and set the record at 2,973 3-pointers made, now that will be the next challenge for 32-year-old Steph Curry.

Curry holds the record for the most 3-point shots made with the Warriors and has the best percentage of free throws made in the franchise, since 2019 he has played for Golden State.
