Manila (EFE / EPA) .- The race for the presidency of the Philippines began today with a lively and festive start to the three-month electoral campaign, during which five candidates will contest the votes of more than 54 million citizens.
The candidates in the presidential elections, scheduled for May 9, organized large parties in various cities of the archipelago in which thousands of people participated and in which they could see musical performances, mass celebrations and convoys made up of hundreds of vehicles.
