The Pope compares a certain kind of faith to “a football match without a goal.”

Pope Francis, very fond of football, compared a certain kind of faith, not very good, to “a football game without a goal.”

“Faith cannot be limited to ‘no’s’, since the Christian life is a ‘yes’, a yes of love,” he said during the Angelus prayer, commenting on the ten commandments.

«Dear brothers and sisters, a faith without the gift and gratuity is incomplete, a weak and sick faith. We could compare it to a rich and nutritious meal but without taste, or to a football game well played but without a goal, ”he continued.

“A faith without gift, without gratuity, without works of charity, in the end saddens,” concluded the Supreme Pontiff. AFP (HN)
