Toronto runs out of Nadal and Federer

The Spanish Rafa Nadal and the Swiss Roger Federer announced on Tuesday afternoon that they will not play the next Toronto Masters 1000, the tournament prior to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where they both hope to be present.

“I am disappointed to announce that I will not be available to play in Toronto this year. I have only been able to train a week after my wrist injury and I am not prepared for such an important event, “said the Spanish tennis player.

Roger Federer, for his part, also confirmed that he will not play in Toronto this season. “It is one of my favorite tournaments and I feel very sad that I cannot compete in front of the Canadian fans. I need a little more time after Wimbledon, but I hope to go back to Canada next year.
