Former boxing world champion Tyson Fury announced that he will not apply for a new license to fight in the UK, relaunching speculation about the end of his career.
“After careful thought, I am not going to ask for a new license from the BBBC (the body that administers professional boxing in the UK). After how they have managed things, no thanks, ”tweeted the English.
His license was provisionally withdrawn in October 2016 for cocaine use. Accused of doping for more than a year by the British anti-doping agency (UKAD), he hopes to be heard by this body.
The 29-year-old boxer was made in November 2015, to the points, of the triple crown of the heavyweight (WBA-WBO-IBF) against the Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko, but he has not fought more since that date.
On October 3, 2016, Fury, suffering from depression, had announced his retirement before backing down that same day. AFP
