The young Dutchman Max Verstappen will race next week the next Formula One Spanish GP with the Red Bull team and will accompany the Australian Daniel Ricciardo, while the Russian Daniil Kvyat will drive a Toro Rosso.
Red Bull has announced this morning this exchange between the two ‘sister’ structures that involves the jump from Verstappen to Red Bull. The Russian will be the partner of the Spanish Carlos Sáinz in Toro Rosso.
Team manager Christian Horner explains in the letter that “Max has shown his great talent”, and that “his progression at Toro Rosso has been impressive” and they are “delighted to give him the opportunity to drive for Red Bull Racing ».
“We are in a unique position to have four drivers with Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso on a long-term contract with Red Bull, so we have the flexibility to move them between the two teams,” he explained.
“Dany will be able to continue his development at Toro Rosso, in a team that he is familiar with, and is given the opportunity to regain his form and show his potential,” he said.
