Veteran Rich Hill to Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays and veteran Rich Hill have closed a 2021 MLB deal.

Although he had more than 3 teams interested in his services, including the Twins, Angels and Astros, Rich Hill decided to sign with the Tampa Bay Rays for the upcoming MLB season.

The 40-year-old Hill is the oldest starting pitcher in the majors, last season with the Minnesota Twins he was 2-2 with a 3.03 ERA in 8 games with 32 strikeouts in 38 innings as a starter.

After trading Rich Hill, the Rays were forced to add a left-handed arm to their rotation. Hill has played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles, Anaheim Angels, Oakland Athletics.
