The German Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel (Mercedes), has changed the gearbox of his car, for which he will have a penalty of five places in the starting lineup of the Russian Grand Prix.
According to the technical document of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), Vettel has made this change before the deadline of six races with the same gearbox, so he will have to face the five penalty positions.
The British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) will also change his gearbox, but he is exempt from the penalty because he had to change it in the last Chinese Grand Prix, so his six races with the same gearbox start counting from this race in Russia, according to the FIA document.
