VIDEO.- 68-year-old grandmother fights in Mixed Martial Arts

At 68 years of age, what may worry you the most is what medicine you have at this time. Let’s be honest, your best years have passed but that doesn’t mean you can do daring things, like Ann Perez.
The respectable lady decided it was time to debut in mixed martial arts and the Sparta Combat League was the competition that allowed it. The problem wasn’t her first fight, but her opponent: 24-year-old Laura Dettman.
With a difference of almost five decades, both fighters entered the Octagon in “seeking to put on a good show.” If you were looking for a Cinderella story where Perez teaches that age does not matter and with his experience he succeeds, we are sorry to disappoint you. We don’t know if Dettman doesn’t like older people or just didn’t want to risk losing, but boy, did he show no mercy.
This left us with many questions. Did Dettman hate his granny and did he project himself? Will Ann’s insurance cover the beating? Who the hell thought this would be a good idea? Of course, the elderly lady earned our respect and admiration. (Taken from Sopitas.com)
