VIDEO: Mickey Rourke returned to the ring knocking out

American actor Mickey Rourke achieved a victory on his return to a boxing ring after more than 20 years of absence.

Rourke, 62, defeated Californian boxer Elliot Seymour, 33 years his junior, in an exhibition match held in Moscow, Russia.
The Hollywood star sent Seymour to the canvas twice during the second round, causing the referee to stop the fight.
The actor was an amateur boxer before reaching fame in Hollywood in the 80s with films such as “The Law of the Street” (Rumble Fish) by Francis Ford Coppola, “The Year of the Dragon”, “The Heart of the Angel” or ” Nine weeks and a half”.
As the BBC Mundo journalist Jaime González recalls from Los Angeles, in 1991 Rourke decided to park his film career to focus on boxing, a sport that would end up leaving visible physical consequences, particularly on his face, having to undergo numerous cosmetic operations .
His triumphant return to Hollywood came in 2008 with his role in Darren Aronofsky’s film “The Wrestler” (el luichador), for which in 2009 he won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for best actor and was nominated for the Oscar.
