The Danish Caroline Wozniacki, top seed, and the Romanian Alexandra Dulgheru will play this Sunday the final of the Kuala Lumpur tennis tournament after beating the Taiwanese Su-Wei Hsieh and the Australian Jarmila Gajdosova in their respective semifinal matches.
Dulgheru, number 94 in the world ranking, battled for three hours and fourteen minutes to confirm herself as the revelation of a tournament in which she surprised the Germans Sabine Lisicki and Julia Georges, second and eighth favorites, in addition to the Chinese Ying-Ting Duan before denying Jarmila Gajdosova the final after a tight win, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (4).
Instead, Caroline Wozniacki was authoritative against Su-Wei Hsieh, whom she defeated by a double 6-2 in one hour and seventeen minutes.
Wozniacki, former number one in the world, does not know defeat against Dulgheru and will seek to add a new title to a record that already has 22 individual trophies for the two of his opponent. EFE
