Puerto Rican Yadier Molina had a historic day with the San Luis Cardinals in his first game after the 2021 MLB All-star Game.
Through the St. Louis Cardinals’ game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Yadier Molina hit the 2,065 single of his career to surpass Enos Slaughter and become the fifth most hitting player in his team’s history.
The fact that Yadier Molina is always with only one team leads him to many historic achievements at the end of his career especially within the franchise, few receivers manage to be among the 5 players with the most hits in an MLB organization.
Molina at his age is living a normal offensive season as he has always had it, he is hitting 256. with 8 homers and 40 RBIs. It should be noted that Molina has not been a catcher for many home runs, however, he is hitting 280 for life in the majors, something considerable and admirable for a catcher of his time.
40% of the running backs who have tried to steal a base from him have been retired via out this season. (Fielding)
