The Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team confirmed this Monday that the Italian rider Valentino Rossi, who recently fractured his right leg, will not be able to compete at the San Marino Grand Prix next weekend and will have no replacement.

The team specifies that it will compete at the Marco Simoncelli circuit in Misano only with the Spanish Maverick Viñales.

“The entire Yamaha team wishes Valentino Rossi a speedy recovery and hopes to see him again on the YZR-M1 as soon as possible,” the team said in a statement.
