Yankees acquire former Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo

The New York Yankees acquired the services of first baseman Anthony Rizzo via trade in the MLB.

According to Ken Rosenthal, the New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs are closing a deal that brings veteran Anthony Rizzo to the Bronx Mules.

Brian Cashman accomplished the mission of adding left-handed arms to the lineup to bolster the Yankees’ offense. He added not only Joey Gallo, but also Anthony Rizzo, two of MLB’s best left-handed hitters with a lot of experience.

Such a change is still being negotiated, the New York Yankees have to reveal which players or prospects will be sent to the Chicago Cubs via a change in the MLB.

This MLB season, Rizzo is hitting 248. with 14 homers, 40 RBIs, 80 hits, 16 doubles and 41 runs scored. We are talking about a 3-time all-star, 4-time gold glove, platinum glove, silver bat and 2026 World Series champion.
