Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, has assured in statements to ‘El Debate’ that in January they will have news of the French striker Kylian Mbappe.
“We hope that on January 1 everything can be solved,” the top Madrid president told this digital newspaper about the possibility of the French international joining the Madrid team at the end of this season.
Mbappé himself assured in an interview with radio RMC Sport, broadcast this Monday, that he asked Paris Saint-Germain to let him leave the club last July so that they could pay compensation for his transfer and thus do a favor to a club which has “contributed a lot.”
“I asked to leave because at the time I did not want to renew I wanted the club to have transfer compensation to have a quality replacement,” said the footballer, who will turn 23 in December and if he had left, his destination would have been Real Madrid. EFE (HN)
