Paris, (EFE).- Polish driver Robert Kubica has agreed to extend his contract with the Renault Formula One team until the end of 2012, the French team announced today in a statement.
The 25-year-old, who has already scored two podium finishes at the Australian and Monaco Grands Prix so far this year, is currently sixth in the world drivers’ standings.
Kubica was pleased with the extension of his commitment to Renault, a team in which he declared “everyone is pushing in the same direction.”
For his part, Eric Boullier, Renault’s sporting director, declared his satisfaction with the agreement with the driver, whom he said is someone “who goes fast, is totally committed and does not make mistakes.”
