More than a million people participate in Cavaliers parade

The city of Cleveland dressed up today to honor the new NBA champions, the Cavaliers, whose parade through the streets of downtown was led by its star, LeBron James, before the joy of nearly 1.3 million people .
Cleveland commemorates its first professional sports title since 1964.
The Cavs parade, which stretched for two kilometers, lasted almost four hours.
The Cavaliers ended the 52-year drought on Sunday after beating the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the finals 89-93, with James as the star and Most Valuable Player (MVP).
James confirmed that he has no intention of leaving the Cavaliers again, even if he is a free agent this summer.
“I love being here in Cleveland. I have no intention of leaving her,” James told reporters.
«There are some technical aspects to take care of that I will leave my agent. That’s how everything is to order,” he added.
James highlighted the work of point guard Kyrie Irving and the defensive contribution of power forward Kevin Love against Warriors star Stephen Curry in the final moments of the game.
“I would not change this for anything in the world,” said Irving, who along with James was decisive in the victory of the fifth and seventh games.
This is the parade Cleveland has waited for since 1964, when the Cleveland Browns were crowned kings of the National Football League (NFL).
At the end of the parade, James spoke from a dais. Symbolically, he received the NBA trophy from Jim Brown, the 1964 Browns legend.
The moment was the most emotional of the day to see how the old emblem of professional sports in the city handed over the baton to the new legend and ambassador.
It is said that no city in the United States has suffered as much as the sports teams of the Cavaliers (NBA), Browns (NFL), Indians (MLB) and even the Barons, the defunct NHL team in the 1970s, totaled 146 seasons without reaching a crown.
Although previously, Cleveland fans were used to it, winning seven crowns between 1946-55 with baseball and football teams, but then everything was a drought until ‘King’ James put the new champion trophy in their windows. EFE
