Barcelona, (EFE) .- The Spaniard Rafa Nadal has valued presenting himself today at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell as Monte Carlo champion and has confessed: “I am not satisfied with just fighting and being there, I like to win”, to show that he wants to get his ninth Conde de Godó Trophy.
“Titles and victories are necessary, because they give an added peace of mind and confidence,” said Nadal, who returns with a very good feeling from the Monegasque tournament, the first to win in 2016.
“Last year I could not enjoy the competition due to anxiety problems on the court – Nadal recalled – and this year, although I had not yet won a tournament until yesterday, I was enjoying the competition again. And this is the most important thing for me”.
“The results,” he added, “if one trains and plays well, they can come more or less.”
